When I moved to Ashburn, Virginia, the main and only reason was to be closer to MJ. (Long distance stinks!) I had to leave some of my dearest friends from Radford, try to readjust to a new area, and find a job. Now you all are probably thinking, “Aren’t you a full time wedding photographer?” I’m going to be honest, no, no I am not. One day, I will be, but for right now I have to pay for life. (Loans, food, loans, clothes, loans…) So I started to apply to different high schools because I love working with students, and when I got a job with a high school 8 minutes from where I live I was thrilled! One of my favorite things about this postion is the people I work with, they are not only my coworkers, but my friends and I love it. When Lauren asked me to take her family photos, I, of course, said yes!

Lauren and her husband Bryan have been building a house on this beautiful property in the blue ridge mountains for about 2 years, and now that it is almost complete they wanted to show their new home away from home to all of their friends and family! This property is absolutely stunning, and such a perfect place to go and be away from everything and for their fur babies, Sophie and Ebby, to run around and be free!

I loved being able to capture this time in their lives, and I cannot wait to see the final product (the inside of the home)! Thank you Lauren for asking me to photograph your family; I loved being able to spend time with your other half and your fur children!
