Hey, friends! Thanks for stopping by the blog for another Mash Up Monday! (But seriously, thank you for reading this and making my time writing it, worth it in the end!) Here we are on another dreadful Monday, a day we all wish we could be sleeping in an hour longer than normal, but since we are all up and all working in some way or another, here is your weekly blog post to start your day off with a smile (I hope).

Anyone want to guess on when the last time I have been home for a weekend? Home meaning Northern Virginia… Any guesses?

July. I haven’t been home on a weekend since the month of July. Seriously, how crazy is that? This weekend, though, I was able to sleep in my bed all weekend long!! Wahoo!! I had Jessie and Nick’s wedding in Alexandria on Saturday and Lauren and Matt’s engagement session in Purceville yesterday! I love my Tidewater brides way more than they know, but, man, I sure did love being able to hang out here and sleep in my own bed. I had to ask multiple times what day of the week it was because in my mind it didn’t make sense that I was in Northern Virginia. It’s those types of things though that make you appreciate the small things! I got to hang out and spend time with my sweet friends up here, I got breakfast in bed, and I dare say that I got to sleep in on Saturday and Sunday!! (WHAT!?)

Beyond all of that, my wedding and engagement session this weekend were SO incredible. The weather could not have been more perfect, and I could not ask for better couples to work with!!

As always, lessons learned/events that transpired over the last week!

• The next time you see a teacher, thank them for all that they do. They do way more than you could possibly think, and the least that they deserve is a thank you! <3
• MJ is sick now, and this is how the next couple of months are going to go. He’ll get me sick, I’ll get him sick and so on! Germs. BLEH.
• I’m really trying to push this sweater and layering thing, but this weather is still SO hot. Someone needs to remind Mother Nature that it’s October!
• I need to do at least ONE Halloweenie thing this year!! I haven’t had the time yet, but any suggestions on what to do!?
• This is my BEST FRIEND’S LAST MONDAY as a CLAUD!! I cannot wait to stand beside her this weekend! EEK!!!!
