I feel like the month of April is Mother Nature’s way of just throwing every type of weather into one month. Saturday alone we saw sun, rain, wind, and even some snow in Virginia, and today it’s supposed to reach up to 70 degress… Mother Nature is bipolar; that’s just my medical diagnosis. When the weather channel says wind as the condition for the day, that never is a good thing because that means it’s not just the casual breeze, but wind, wind the kind that makes kites fly and helps Mary Poppins travel from place to place. This was going to be the type of wind that would make me look like a hot mess, but when I told Emily about the weather, this was her response, “I’m all about a wind blow look anyway.” (Yeah, she’s awesome.)

We began our session on Monument Avenue in Richmond, VA… (Um, major adulting goals: live in Charleston, Georgetown, or on Monument Ave. in Richmond.) And before I tell you all about how perfect Alex and Emily are together, let me just tell you about Emily and I’s relationship. My best friend, Kelsey, told Emily about me as soon as she found out Emily was engaged. (Thanks, Kels!) As soon as I talked to Emily on the phone, I knew that she would not only be an amazing bride, but an even better friend. We have been talking for months literally about everything, and when we were finally going to meet each other in person I felt like we were going on a blind date haha!! (I am such a dork!)

Alex and Emily are pretty much perfect in every way, and even more perfect for one another. Emily has this joy and beauty about her that just makes you want to be her friend, and Alex has this calm presence and with those one liners that just make you die laughing, he is the perfect match for Emily. These two have been with one another for years now and truly are each others best friends. I don’t know Alex as well as I do Emily, but it is truly amazing how you can just see how much Alex loves Emily. It’s beautiful.
