Every time I have a session in Washington, DC, I am still in awe of the monuments and the history, and the fact that I live so incredibly close to this area, I’m still in shock! Not many people can even say they have seen the Lincoln Memorial or the White House, but lucky for me I get to not only see these amazing monuments, but I also get to photograph them!

As my sister, my trusty second shooter, and I were heading to DC, I was so thankful it wasn’t raining! Virginia has seen rain at least once a day for the past week, but this weekend it held off just in time for Saturday’s wedding and Sunday’s engagement session! Thank you, Mother Nature!!

Kellie was ready for this engagement session, rain or shine! She emailed me a week before the session saying if it were to rain she would totally be okay with bringing an umbrella! Uh, how awesome is she? Lucky for us though, we had beautiful light and glow, so we left the umbrellas behind, and Frank in his uniform and Kellie in a cute light pink dress… Yes, please!

These two were made for each other. Walking together to each monument (a whole lot of walking, btw) you could just see how much Frank loves Kellie. He would give her the world if he could! I cannot wait for their July wedding. Kellie has created this beautiful wedding day, and I cannot wait to see everything she has come up with!
