This week is the week where you will see many photographer’s best of the best engagements, weddings, and portraits from 2015, and here I am with mine! My very first Best of Engagement post, and I’m secretly super excited about it! This post showed me a lot about how much I have grown as a photographer in my first (almost) year of business, how many places I was able to visit, and how many beautiful people came into my life because of this business of mine.

Can I just mention how much I love the people below? They have all become dear friends of mine, and, most of all, they chose and trusted me to be their wedding photographer. I love that these brides are people that I can talk to at anytime and not only about their weddings, but my own!

Engagement sessions are some of my favorite because it truly allows my couples and I to really get to know one another before the biggest day of their life! We get to talk about all things wedding, how they met, what they love to do, and so much more. It allows us to be friends, and not just a wedding photographer that shows up on their wedding day and leaves. This time also allows them to get comfortable in front of my camera. Because, don’t get me wrong my couples are good looking, but my couples aren’t models in their free time, and they don’t always know what to do with their hands or faces or feet haha! I get to help them feel comfortable, and at the end of the session they actually have FUN (yes, this includes the boys).
