Great Gatsby Themed Wedding

It was a double header wedding NYE weekend for me, and lucky for me both of the weddings were in Charlottesville, Virginia!!! On Friday, I had the privilege of documenting Reana and Alex’s gorgeous wedding day at the Omni Charlottesville Hotel! I had been looking forward to this wedding for MONTHS because I just adore Reanna and Alex. From their initial emails to their engagement session, I can’t get enough of these two and their adorable son Hunter! Reanna had been telling me all about her details before the wedding arrived and I just KNEW it was going to be to-die-for! A Great Gatsby themed wedding!? Yes, please!!

The Best Part of Their Wedding Day

One of the best parts of photographing weddings is getting to know the families of the couples that we’re working with. I get to see these families in such an intimate environment, and I consider that such a privilege! One of my favorite moments of Alex and Reanna’s day were all of the speeches, each one was so heart felt and genuine. Alex and Reanna are so loved, and I can say that there wasn’t a dry eye in the room after listening to each speech (especially mine).  Another aspect of the day that I thoroughly enjoyed was Alex’s dad danced to “Wanna Dance with Somebody” with me on the dance floor!

Planning the Perfect Wedding Day

Reanna planned their day so perfectly. From the bridal details to the incredible designed cake, it was all so stunning! She did so much to make their day unbelievably unique and special! It was such an honor to be the one capturing their beautiful moments and stunning details. Alex and Reanna, thank you for allowing me the honor of being a part of your wedding day!!! I wouldn’t have wanted to be anywhere else! You all are the absolute best.
