If I haven’t said this enough, I love my couples. They are truly the best! Steven and Sara traveled all the way from Poquoson to Northern Virginia for their engagement session this past weekend! When Sara was picking her location, she knew she wanted fall leaves, so we met up at Occoquan Regional State Park. I have never been to this park before, but it was exactly what Sara was looking for… leaves, leaves, and more leaves. The sun lasted about 5 minutes when we arrived, but then it gave us amazing overcast to be able to go every where and any where! The wind was something else though. These two were such champs, and it resulted in a beautiful engagement session.
As we walked around the park, we talked all about how they met, their wedding planning, and how Steven planned the perfect proposal. This is their story… (SVU Special Victims fans out there?)… Anyway, Steven planned it all out. He knew he was going to propose on the beach, write out “Marry Me?” in the sand with sea shells, and he had the perfect ring sitting in his pocket ready to ask the love of his life to be his forever. Sara just thought Steven’s family was taking family pictures. Little did she know that one of the best moments of her life was about to happen. As soon as she saw the shells, she turned around to see Steven on his knee with a ring… It was perfect. I may or may not have watched the video once or twice haha!
My favorite moments of their engagement session was watching Steven simply look at Sara. It’s indescribable. He adores her with every fiber of his being. Steven would block her from the wind every time a big gust came, hold her tighter when he saw her shiver, swept her off her feet (literally) to ensure she wouldn’t fall. Their love is something special, and I am so lucky to be apart of this journey with them. I cannot wait for their wedding next year. (It’s on my birthday, so I’m extra excited haha!!)
Steven and Sara, thank you so much for being you! I loved spending time with the both of you, and I cannot wait until next October. I hope you love your blog post and have the most amazing Thanksgiving!!
xoxo
