Good morning, friends! Can I just say whoever came up with the idea to have holidays on Mondays was a genius!? There is nothing better than realizing on a Sunday night that you get one more day of rest! AH YEAH!

This weekend was filled with a whole lot of travel and surprisingly not a whole lot of traffic! There were definitely a lot of cops though, so if you’re traveling today, stay safe and don’t speed. My first stop for the weekend was Richmond for my giveaway winners engagement session, and after that I drove back to my parent’s house to have my final bridal fitting!! (Just in case you were concerned, it still fits!) Then on Sunday, I spent the morning with my wedding planner finalizing details and then headed over to Fredericksburg for my hair and makeup trial!

It was a much needed weekend of checking things off and getting things done for MY wedding! Can you believe it? Less than three weeks to go!

I also want to take a moment and seriously recognize the holiday that is today:  Memorial Day. For many, I think this holiday is passed off as a an extra day added to the weekend, but it truly is a day to remember the people who died serving our country. The people who put their country before themselves.

If your reading this, take a minute or two today to remember those people. Today isn’t, “Happy Memorial Day”, but a day to be thankful for everything you have because of the people who serve and those who have sacrificed their lives for the United States of America.

• Linens. Goodness. It’s like picking paint for your home. AH!
• I officially own a wedding band! EEK!
• Wednesday’s a new game night for MJ and I… It’s a Cards Against Humanity competition- how awesome is that??
• Canceling my wine membership today… I’m too poor to try and be a fancy adult.
