Good morning, friends, and Happy Monday to ya!! Another weekend has come and gone in a blink of an eye. Can I just say that there is nothing like sleeping in your own bed? Your own pillows, your own blankets, your own everything, and not being in it for two nights and a lot of travel made leaving that comfy thing almost impossible.

This weekend was my first out of state wedding!! (Woop, woop!) Patrick and Laura’s wedding was absolutely beautiful. I smiled the entire day! Seriously, though, at one point during the reception and I had to relax my cheeks and mouth because they were aching. Best kind of ache though, if you ask me! I cannot wait to tell you all more about this amazing day later this week!

But, you guys, super exciting wedding updates!! MJ and I worked all Memorial Day on wedding plans. Like, we did work. I’m pretty impressed with ourselves. We booked a caterer, a florist (she doesn’t know it yet haha), finalized a guest list, found a DJ, blocked off hotel rooms, and so much more!! Yeah, it was a busy day, but I am getting more and more excited!! I AM GETTING MARRIED. It’s still unreal to me.

As always, lessons learned/events that transpired over the past week!

• It is finally POOL season!! My pasty, ghost like skin is terrified yet so excited to see the warm sun again! (Yes, mom, I’ll make sure to where sunscreen.)
• Cars. You can’t live with them, and you can’t live without them. My car is on it’s last leg, so if anyone knows anyone who is selling a gently used, good on gas car, please come talk to me!! I’m your girl!
• Also, I realized I know NOTHING about cars. Like nothing. It’s bad.
• MJ’s obsession with salt and pepper shakers has grown. This weekend, in one store, we purchased two different sets of salt and pepper shakers. We now have four different sets of shakers: Mount Rushmore Heads (yeah, I’ll need to take a picture of those), Bears in a Boat, Snowmen, and Whales.
• Yes. I hate that I love his obsession and how awesome our salt and pepper shakers are. Darn you, MJ!
• My best friends and mom are coming to town this Friday, and we are going dress shopping!! AH! I’ve had this appointment booked for months, and I am so excited!
• We had Jack Brown’s twice in 48 hours. Yeah, getting wedding ready was definitely put on hold this weekend!
• Oh my gosh, guys, my sister was voted Prom Queen this weekend!! How cool is that? She is so amazing, and she definitely deserved that crown. I’m so proud of her. My littlest sister is graduating high school in less than two weeks. (I just teared up.)
