Gooooooood morning, everyone! You’re probably wondering, “Where have you been, Corrin?” Yes, my blog definitely could have used some loving last week, but, you know, I had one of those weeks where I was just mentally and physically exhausted. It happens to the best of us, but I’m back, and this week is going to be FILLED with beautiful images from last weekend!

Last weekend, so not this past weekend, but the weekend before that, I photographed 2 senior sessions, an engagement session, a family session, and a wedding. AKA editing all last week! This weekend though was Seafood Fest weekend (my favorite weekend of the whole year), and it was filled with MJ being in a wedding on Saturday, a bonfire, DELICIOUS FOOD, and a beautiful engagement session with an even more amazing couple!

The Seafood Festival is held every year in Poquoson, Virginia in October, and when I moved to Poquoson in the forth grade it’s been my favorite weekend of the entire year. This weekend is filled with vendors who make different hand made crafts/art, games, live music, and the BEST seafood/food ever. Way over priced, but so incredibly worth it in my eyes! It’s also a weekend where the city of Poquoson has a mini reunion (this is a good and bad thing haha). Seafood Fest weekend became really special to me two years ago because this is when MJ came into my life (and now I have a ring on my finger!!)!! I’ll have to tell you all about our story another time, but it was so much fun to be able to go home for a few days!

As always, lessons learned/events that transpired over the past week:

  • I really miss learning. I’m kind of a dork and enjoy those sort of things. I’m going to try to find something new to learn, so if you have any suggestions let me know!
  • This week is Homecoming week for the high school I work at, and trust me when I say I am going all out for the themed days! I’ll have to make sure to get pictures!
  • Make sure to always make time for the people you love. Like I was saying before, last week was a long one, and I was certainly stressed and not the best person to be around, but MJ always knew what to do and say to make me feel better. He helped me get away from my computer and just relax a little, and I realized I need to do that more often.
  • The leaves are changing and I LOVE IT. I’m like every other chick when I say October is probably the best month of the year. It’s just the best.
  • I need to find a Halloween costume for this year. MJ and I are trying to think of a cool/funny couple costume… We’ll see what we come up with. (To Pinterest I go!)
  • Oh, and that reminds me, my birthday countdown… 9 MORE DAYS!

I’m going to leave you all with a few sneak peaks of what’s to come this week on the blog!! It’s going to be a beautiful week to say the least! Be sure to follow me on Instagram to see more sneak peaks!! I hope you all have an amazing Monday!
