Caleb and Katherine drove all the way to Northern Virginia for their Manassas Battlefield lifestyle session with me this past weekend. You might remember these two from a past maternity session I did for them a couple of months ago. Half of their maternity session was rained out, so we made up for it after Caroline was born. I have to say I might start offering this type of package because this session became so special for me.

The last time I saw the two of them they were two totally different people. They were soon to be parent’s, and now they were actual parents to an adorable tiny human being. I had asked them, what is it like being parents? Is it hard, easy? I have no idea! Katherine said it the best, “I don’t think I was ever ready to be a mom, but it has come so naturally.” She also mentioned that she has the easiest baby, so she lucked out, but from my little time with the two of them, they are complete naturals.

I love that I was able to document this time of their lives, and I hope to photograph more of their moments and memories in the future. I cannot wait to see what life has in store for this small family. Caroline is going to grow into the most beautiful woman with incredible parents holding her hand every step of the way.
