When Mike proposed to Katie, I was over the moon. I know she was excited and beyond happy to finally be able to call Mike her fiance, and when she asked me to be her wedding photographer… I cannot begin to tell you the words that I was feeling, but then she told me where she was getting married I literally could not stop smiling! These two are getting married at same venue MJ and I are getting married in June! BIG SPRING FARM! After MJ and I had our engagement session there, I convinced Katie to have hers there as well! It may have been freezing, but their Big Spring Farm engagement session was beyond perfect!

How Lynchburg College Brought Us Together

I cannot begin to tell you how excited I am for this wedding next year. This couple and wedding mean so much to me for so many different reasons. Not only are we getting married at the same venue, but I have known Katie ever since her freshmen year at Lynchburg College. We played field hockey together, and soon after that we became sorority sisters! Katie and I have always been close, and she constantly has been a person and friend that I can always rely on! I know for a fact that all of her friends and family can say the same exact thing. She deserves the absolute best, and she has found that in Mike.

How to Handle a Freezing Engagement Session

Mike and Katie met me at Big Spring Farm last week on one of the days that was absolutely freezing and windy (wind advisories are no joke)! It was chilly and I may or may not have been wearing 6 layers of clothing, but it was the perfect evening for an engagement session. These two got the best of both worlds: clouds and glowy sun! It’s totally fine to have an overcast session. I actually prefer it a lot of the time! However, Mike and Katie got a little bit of both! These two were so incredibly patient and willing to go where ever, and I love them for it!

Together these two have such sweet and funny personalities. How we get to work with such amazing people just baffles me! I can’t wait for their big day! Enjoy some of my favorites and be sure to look out for Brody… their adorable pup who is probably the most photogenic dog I have ever worked with!
