There is honestly nothing better than waking up on a wedding day and seeing a whole lot of sun! Don’t get me wrong, I am all about the overcast too, but I have really missed seeing the sun! I also loved seeing my fiance with a bagel in his hand as soon as I woke up as well… Definitely a great way to start a wedding day: sun and a bagel. An even better way to start a wedding day… Vintage, timeless details in one of the oldest cities in Virginia, Old Town Alexandria in the middle of October, YES!
Nick and Jessica’s wedding day started in Old Town Alexandria with Nick’s best friend’s in one room and Jessie’s in another. Before their wedding day began, I had been talking with Jessica all about her vintage details and historic venue and everything in between, and when she told me her colors and her theme, I was SO excited… Fall and Vintage. Yes, please! To say I had fun with all of her details would be an understatement, and when you see the portraits of Jessica… Oh my goodness, she is such a timeless beauty!
One of the best parts of the day was when Nick started tearing up even before he saw Jessica. In that moment, you knew just how excited and nervous and happy he was to just see her, to hold her hands, and be married to her. Their love is so special and beautiful, and in their portraits together you can really get a taste of how authentic and true their love is. Their ceremony was short and sweet, and they decided to have a sit down dinner as their reception so they could really embrace and love on their guests.
Their wedding day was all they had dreamed about and more. I cannot wait to see where they decide to go on their honeymoon next spring/summer!
I hope you all enjoy some of my favorites from their beautiful, fall day!
xoxo
