When I began photography, I never thought I would be where I am today. I went to college to be an engineer and ended up with a degree in art with an emphasis in photography… Not exactly what I was picturing (haha, no pun intended) in my mind, and definitely not what my parents were planning either. Now, photography is what I am pretty much known for… Between my college friends and high school friends, if I ever have a conversation with a past friend, photography comes up as soon as they ask how I am, which is pretty amazing. Social media blows my mind with how many people see my work, and when Katherine was finding a photographer for her maternity she knew what she wanted and she wanted me to be her photographer. Thanks, Facebook!
Katherine and I planned this perfect maternity session! Until it rained.
Our session made me no longer trust weather channel. It wasn’t supposed to rain. It wasn’t!! Once the rain and thunderstorms finally left, leaving us barely an hour left of light, we hit the ground running and so did the bugs. We were hit with heat and bugs almost immediately, but they were troopers and we ended up getting some beautiful images!
Katherine and I have known each other since high school! We had conversations here and there, but we never really knew one another. One thing I learned very quickly about Katherine though, is that she is wise beyond her years and is breathtakingly beautiful! She is now going to bring a wise and beautiful little girl into this world.
You will be seeing these two on the blog again very soon because we need to finish their session, but for now enjoy a few of my favorites from our very short time together!
xoxo
