Okay, so usually when I post pictures of my sisters I tell you all about how much I love them and how pretty they are… Well nothing has changed. I love them more than anything and they are some of the most beautiful women I know. For this blog post, I am going to write a letter to mom. My favorite woman on this planet. My hero, my best friend, my person.

Dear Mom,

I first off want to thank you for being you. You are the most caring, selfless, and sarcastic woman I know. You impact every life you come in contact with, and you have made me into the person I am today. I then want to thank you for choosing to become a mother. Being where I am in life, close to the age when you had me, I could not imagine being a mother. As soon as I see a baby crying in the grocery store, I question bringing a baby into this world… You chose to not only have me, but Kellie and Kristin as well (still questionable for why, but it’s too late now…). You and dad have raised us to be reflections of the both of you, and I cannot thank you enough for that. You both have given me a life that I will forever be grateful for. You have provided me with so much; you have given me everything I could have ever asked for and more. More than anything, thank you for being the best friend that every girl needs in their life. You are constantly supporting me, constantly pushing me, constantly there for me. For the amount of times I call you in a day, you always answer. For the amount of times that I have asked you to come to different events, you have always been there for me. Every time. For the amount of times that I have asked for advice, you have always given me the honest answer. Not the one I want to hear, but the one I need to hear. You have been my rock and my person for 24 years.

The three of us are spoiled beyond belief. I would have never said that growing up, but now, trying to pay for life and loans and everything else in between, I have come to realize just how much the two of you have worked to create this incredible life that I have grown up in. Not only have you had to be a mom, but a military mom at that. You have had to uproot us numerous amounts of times when dad got a new assignment, you had to take care of us by yourself when dad had to go away, and I will always remember the drive across the country for 5 days. I know that must of been hard, but all I remember is every time you would look back in the rear view mirror to check on us, you would give me a wink and then continue driving along. I never saw the stress or the tired eyes; I just saw love.

I think I could probably write a million different things telling you how amazing and truly incredible you are, but at this point you are probably crying (and I’m tearing up), so I’ll get to the end. Mom, I hope you know and will always remember your worth. Who you are is enough, it’s way more than enough. You are an incredible woman with so much strength and kindness and love. If you ever feel like you aren’t doing enough or everything isn’t going right or you even dare to question your worth, please always remember Kellie, Kristin, and I. We adore you. The three of us are who we are because of you. We love you more than we probably love ourselves.

I hope to be half the mother and woman you are one day. I love you, Mom. You are and forever will be my hero and very best friend. Thank you!

Love,

Your Daughter
