I just want to start off with this news… I’M GOING TO BE AN AUNT TODAY!! EEK! Holy Moly… I could not be more excited. (Side note: MJ’s sister, not mine haha!) Now back to how I normally start these blog posts…

Another week, another Monday. Boo.

The curse of the Mondays has hit yet again, but guess what guys? The countdown to starting my photography business FULL TIME begins! If you missed it, last week through the Go-Getter’s Getaway competition, I announced that I am going full time with my business! AH! I still cannot believe those words are coming out of my mouth! How am I feeling, you ask? Excited and so terribly nervous are the feelings that come into play.

Another blog post for another day.

So, what did this weekend consist of? Well, being that it was my first weekend off in I don’t know how long, you would think sleep, but Lily had other plans… Lily got sick, so we ended up waking up to a big ol’ mess on Saturday morning. Our plans got slightly changed, but overall, it was the perfect weekend filled with snuggles, cleaning, engagement sessions, and dog dodo…

As always, lessons learned/events that transpired throughout the past week:

  • Never give up. Most everything in life is hard or everyone would do it, right? Well, that doesn’t mean you don’t try. When you try though the hardest part is not giving up. Push through it, whatever “it” is! You’ll end up learning things you never thought you would and maybe, just maybe, even grow as a person because of it.
  • I am finally feeling better! Finally. Rest and water truly do wonders on your body!
  • Friends always trump chores. Yes, chores are super important… especially in this household right now, but friends will always come first.
  • Showing up. Showing up in all forms: online, in person, texting… It’s truly important, and I’m not going to lie, I’m not the best at it. But, this week, I learned a lot about doing just that, and I’m really going to focus on being there and showing up.

More on the deep side this week, but that’s what happens when you enter a getaway that pulls so many heart strings! Thank YOU though for showing up! I’m truly honored and blessed that YOU show up for me and this blog post! Thank you.

One last thing, if you have time, please send positive thoughts and/or prayers to the people in this world that need them. To all the people who are trying to find “normal” after the hurricanes, to all the people who were involved with the Las Vegas shooting, to all the people who truly need a prayer, please take some time out your day to show up for them.

Have an amazing day, friends! Sorry for getting so deep on ya! Stay tuned for so many beautiful blog posts this week! Two engagement sessions AND a wedding!! Whoop whoop!

xoxo
