Happy Monday, friends! Another weekend has come and gone, and now it’s time to conquer and face another week! (I much rather be in bed right now, but that’s just me.)

Okay, so now you would expect me to talk about Game of Thrones, right? Well… that didn’t happen last night for me! I know, the season finale and I missed it. Something even crazier happened and I’m going to get to that later this week! Now, I’m working on staying away from Facebook and other social media accounts so I don’t get any spoilers! (Wish me luck.)

This weekend I drove to my parent’s home in Poquoson and photographed an engagement session at one of my favorite locations… Fort Monroe! The funny part? These two live 15 minutes away from me in Norther Virginia! Samantha wanted the beach though, so we gave her the beach! Commitment, my friends, commitment!

The best part about having sessions down where I grew up is being able to see my parents, my very best friend, and people that I love and adore so much! It makes the travel and long drives so worth it!

As always, here are the lessons learned/events that transpired over the last week:

• I GOT TWO NEW LENSES! AH! I got to use them this weekend and I’m obsessed! They were truly an investment, but SO worth it.
• Podcasts are my new love language. They make car trips so much easier and faster for me! AND I get to learn new things to help grow my business!
• I’m in search for a new vehicle! Right now, I’m liking the idea of an SUV. If anyone has any recommendations, send them on over!
• Life changing thoughts and plans are having over in the Andrews household (yeah, I just said Andrews (so weird))! I can’t give any updates on that because it’s in the beginning stages, but it’s pretty big!
• Always be a good person. Always.
• ALSO, if you own your own business, be professional and kind. The things I have heard and have had to go through myself this week have been rough and I would never wish this on anyone!

Lily Update:  SHE IS HUGE. She needs to stop growing. Now. I love her so much though and she fits so perfectly in our family!
