Friends, I am back to the blog, and, boy, do I have a lot of things for you all this week! Everything from our Texas adventure last week to a new DC cherry blossom engagement session!! A lot, right? Last week was amazing. I can’t describe it any better then that. Going to Texas, seeing my family, eating amazing food, and just being able to be us… It doesn’t get much better than that.
Have you ever been on a trip where it truly just feels like you escaped the outside world? The stress, the to do lists, the everything that just restricts you being you. It’s one of the best feelings. I keep telling MJ that last week felt like a month, but in the best way possible. After our amazing trip to Texas, I got to photograph an amazing engagement session during the peak of cherry blossom season. (More on that craziness and fun this week!) I then drove to Roanoke, VA for one of my bride’s bridal sessions (yes, I did tear up, she is going to be the most gorgeous bride), and ended up seeing one of my really good friends from high school!
As always, lessons learned/events that transpired over the past week:
- Adult coloring books are amazing. It fully entertained us on our plane ride, and we are both pretty creative and somewhat perfectionists, so we didn’t even end up finishing one page.
- Daredevil is a new Netflix addiction for MJ and I!! If you are looking for a new show, go check it out!
- Michigan State. Who else’s March Madness bracket was completely squashed after that upset? I’ve deleted the March Madness app at least 3 times now… I like to think my bracket still has hope!
- I have realized that when I have my camera in my hand, I turn into this confident, do anything woman. (I am definitely an introvert at heart; I know hard to believe.) On our trip, I asked multiple, random people to pose for me because MJ won’t, and it turned out so well!!
- I am a pro packer. Like I think I am one of the best. It’s my special power!
- Like I mentioned before, I did a bridal session this weekend, and I am SO ready for wedding season!!
- Last, but not least, a huge shout out to my amazing Aunt and Uncle for being amazing hosts for us in Texas!
I could go on an on about all the things that happened last week, but I’m going to leave you all with these sneak peeks! Stay tuned for more posts this week!!
xoxo
