Well, my morning started with a punch in the face by my puppy, followed by my internet not working, to then top it off by seeing that I had 86 comments of spam to sort through (once I figured out the internet issue). How’s your Monday so far?
And don’t even get me started on this weather… Gloom central.
Clearly, today isn’t starting off to be my favorite day ever, but it’s Monday, so there’s the explanation behind that. Though this weekend was gloomy and rainy, I made it work because my two couples who had sessions this weekend needed me to make it work. I did just that!
My weekend started on Friday with an engagement session with Miguel and Emily! I still cannot believe I am photographing their wedding. (Story to come on the blog tomorrow!) Then, Friday night, MJ and I spent the evening hanging out with his 12 year old cousin. (She got to spend the entire weekend with us- lucky duck!) Saturday was proposal day for Peter and Haili, so I spent most of my day in DC hiding behind trees, asking people (as nicely as possible) to move out of the way while trying to stay dry and get the perfect shot! A little crazy, but SO worth it! They are engaged! That evening MJ, Anna (his cousin), and I went to see Black Panther! SO good! On Sunday, I spent the morning editing (duh) and then went to the Open House for the Middleburg Barn! Such a fun evening with even better friends!
Holy cow. Jam packed weekend!
As always, lessons learned/events that have transpired over the past week:
- My Top 5 Holidays: Christmas, Halloween, Cinco De Mayo, Thanksgiving, and my Birthday… My Top National Day: National Margarita Day (if you missed it, mark your calendars for February 22- you’re welcome)!
- Family is one of the greatest blessings life can give. If you read this blog often, you know how much I love my family, but I never get tired of saying it. I challenge you to give a family member a call today! I promise you won’t regret it!
- Industry friends are the BEST! Last night just confirmed how lucky I am to have a group of girls that work in this same girl boss, solo entrepreneur life!
- Learning how to apply makeup is a game changer! Seriously. Just a few more steps and it goes from oily, all over your face at the end of the night to FAB. Straight fab.
- Time is passing by way too fast… WAY too fast!
Well, that’s about it for now, friends! (Now that Monday is almost half way over…) Stay tuned for TWO blog posts this week! For now, here are some sneak peeks!
Have an amazing Monday and rest of your week!
xoxo
