Happy Wednesday, brides to be! This weeks Wedding Wednesday is going to be a short one. My planning is kind of on a stand still because I am still trying to figure out a lot of different details (florals, colors, catering, ect.), but this post is about asking for help. I haven’t wanted to ask anyone for help because I want to think that I can plan my own wedding… Reality is, though, I can’t. I’m going to morph into this three headed monster if I do, and I rather not do that. Am I the only one that feels like that? Or is it just me haha?

For example, this week, I kindly asked my fiance to take the reigns on the catering and hotel part of the wedding. Today, I am starting a Facebook group with all of my bridesmaids, so I can get some help and ideas since I don’t live near any of them. It doesn’t necessarily have to be the huge parts of your wedding, but you have family and friends that want to help… So let them!! You will feel so much better once you do. Also, don’t be afraid to ask your vendors for help, they know all things wedding, and they want to be able to help you as well! I certainly know that I love helping my brides in anyway that I can, so don’t feel like you are bothering them! They want your day to be just as perfect as you do!

If you are not in the same boat as me and wedding planning is going smoothly and great, I am SO happy for you! And please help me, but if you are in struggle city with me, you got this! I keep feeling like I have to plan everything right this moment, and I need to remind myself that I don’t, I have time, and I have people that are there to help me along the way.

If you have those moments where you begin morphing into a monster, STEP AWAY from the computer and go find your fiance! Just ask him to give you a hug, and you will morph back into yourself!

Side note: How cute are Molly and Mitchell!? This was taken right after Mitchell proposed to Molly. SO MUCH JOY! Go see more here if you missed all the cuteness!

If you skipped the long paragraphs and are looking for the bullet points, here they are:

  • Ask for help! Planning a wedding isn’t easy, so let others help you!
  • Talk to your vendors if you have a question or need help! For example, I am getting help with my colors from my florist and my photographer!
  • Let your fiance cover some of the planning! Don’t let them pick the centerpieces or anything, unless that is something they enjoy, but let them research caterers or hotels! I know my man loves food, so this was easy for me to let him take over!
  • Your bridesmaids also want to help you, but you have to let them know that you want the help. They aren’t going to bombard you with questions or ideas, so ask them! I know my bridesmaids have a mix of many different talents, so I need to utilize them more!
  • When things get too overwhelming, just breathe and hug your fiance!

I hope today’s Wedding Wednesday helped at least one of you brides to be!! Stay tuned for next week! I’m going to brush on some florals!! That should be interesting haha!

xoxo
