The east coast is notorious for being humid. The state of Virginia is notorious for having hot summers. The city of Poquoson is notorious for it’s mosquitoes. When you combine the three of these things, you then get Brad and Becky’s engagement session.

Becky and I went to Lynchburg College, we never really talked or knew each other, but we were both in sorority life, so everyone kind of knew of everyone. When she contacted me about doing her engagement photos, I was so excited!! (It constantly surprises me, when people tell me they love seeing my work on Facebook because I never realize how many people actually see my posts!) Becky wanted her session to be at Heidi’s Point after seeing the session I did for my future sister in law! As soon as we got there though, everything started attacking us at once… Heat, sweat, and those pesky mosquitoes! We realized he had to do something or this session was going to be cut short (that’s how bad it was). Being that my house is only a few minutes down the road, I called my mom. Yes, I called Cheryl, you are never too old to need your mom… She saved the day and our legs!! I have to say through all of it though, this session was 100% worth it. Brad and Becky’s engagement is now a new favorite, and you will see why in a second.

What have we learned so far? 1.) Poquoson summer’s are ruthless. 2.) Brad and Becky are the most patient and coolest couple ever.

MJ would have skedaddled within the first 20 minutes/ my hair would have had a freak out all on it’s own! Brad and Becky absolutely rocked it though!

These two have been together for 6 years, 6 YEARS, with that though they pretty much know everything there is to know about each other. Better yet, they know how to make one another smile in a moments notice. As a photographer, I couldn’t have loved that more. Do you want to know where Brad proposed? (Rhetorical question.) On the sky ride at Busch Gardens during Christmas Town! This is also where he first told her that he loved her, where he gave her a promise ring, and then asked her to be his forever… Yeah, Brad, you did a pretty amazing job, if I do say so myself!
