A Fall Early Mountain Vineyard Wedding

Rachel and Mike met in college while Rachel was working in the activities office. As soon as Mike saw Rachel, the beautiful Rachel, he knew he needed to ask her out. And with a charity event coming up, he decided that was his chance to get the girl. By using this line,”Will you sleep outside in a box with me?” They exchanged phone numbers, and the rest is history!

While meeting in college is a fairly typical way for couples to meet, I think it’s amazing. I think it is amazing because of who Rachel and Mike are. These two are each other’s perfect match and each other’s perfect complement. They have the same sarcastic, witty, out-of-the-box humor and even some of the same mannerisms. And don’t even get me started on their goofy dance moves and their undeniable love for one another. They wouldn’t fit with anyone else. They belong together. And I think it is amazing that one slick move by Mike at Lynchburg College so many years ago, literally changed both of their lives.

These two are so special to me. I talked in their engagement session blog about how they are the kind of couple that makes my job amazing. Because I get to work with gorgeous, kind, compassionate people like these two, and I get to be by their sides during the most incredible day of their lives. Despite tired feet, I go home at the end of the night with a pep in my step because of couples like Rachel and Mike. I’m grateful the world has people like them!
