I still cannot believe that I graduated Lynchburg College almost 2 years ago. Where does time go? I remember like it was yesterday, but at the same time it feels like it has been forever since I have been on campus. The real world doesn’t even compare to living with your best friends, going to the caf for brunch, and hanging out with my sorority sisters. Lucky for me, many of my friends are getting engaged and married and asking me to be their wedding photographer! LOVE! I get to not only hang out and see them, but be able to document one of the best days of their lives! When Casey emailed me after her fiancé Dwayne asked for her hand in marriage, I was ecstatic! Casey is not only a dear friend of mine, but she is one of my pledge sisters that I admire and love! In college, Casey was a nursing student, and an amazing one at that. She was always studying, working hard, and making sure she was doing the best she could possibly do! All of her hard work paid off with her getting a job as a nurse in Charlottesville, VA and getting accepted to Duke’s Master program. WHAT!? She’s seriously a rock star!

Anyway, enough about how awesome Casey is, and let’s talk about Dwayne and Casey! They both met while attending LC. Dwayne was in a fraternity, Casey was in a sorority, and this is where their story begins! Everyone knew they were going to be together for the rest of their lives, and when he finally proposed last year everyone was thrilled for them! He proposed to Casey during Casey’s senior photos on LC’s campus, and it was the sweetest thing!

For their engagement session, we met up in Charlottesville, Virginia at the Thomas Jefferson Monticello. We actually never saw the Monticello, but we walked around the trails, and found so many beautiful spots! I might have even asked them to climb a giant hill, and when I say giant, I mean I thought I was going to go rolling down the hill with each step that I took. We (meaning I) made it up the hill, and those images were so worth the climb! My couples are seriously the best for putting their trust in me (and climbing big hills). These photos make me went fall to happen all year round!!

They get married next November, and their special day cannot get here soon enough! Casey and Dwayne, I absolutely loved hanging out with the two of you. Thank you for asking me to photograph this special moment in your life! I hope you both love your blog post! Enjoy some of my favorites!
