Where do I even begin? Kelsey is my bestest friend, so much so, she is practically my sister. The funny thing is we both have no idea when our friendship even started or when we met. All we know is that we have been the best of friends for over half of our lives, and we wouldn’t want it any other way. Being the friends that we are, we tell each other practically everything, and I will always remember the moment Kelsey called me to tell me she was engaged to Stephen. She was in tears; I was in tears. I was so happy, I’m still so happy! My bestest friend is going to marry the love of her life; it doesn’t get much better than that.

On October 22, 2016, I’m going to be standing next to Kelsey during the best day of her life, but she wanted me to take her engagement photos! Oh. My. Gosh. You guys… This session has so many of my all time favorite images. Kelsey and Stephen wanted their session done at Stephen’s family farm in Poquoson, VA! This farm has been in Stephen’s family for generations, and it was the perfect place for their session. Beyond perfect.

Kelsey came over to my parent’s house at 5:45 AM (yes, a forbidden time to be awake), and my sister, Kristin, did her makeup! She did such an amazing job, and a huge thank you to her for waking up that early!! She doesn’t just wake up at that time for anyone. After, we headed to the farm. This farm is not like your typical farm, and you will see that in the pictures. There is marsh, a bridge, a dock, open water, and so much more!! A photographer’s dream come true, and at sunrise… It was like magic! Oh, and they have a brand new puppy… Mic drop.

Stephen and Kelsey, I adore the both of you. You two are the epitome of fate. You were made for one another, and I am so glad that life drew you back together. Stephen, thank you for loving my best friend, for being her other half, for caring for her like the princess she is… HA. Kelsey, I love you from the bottom of my heart. I am so proud of you and who you are and everything you do. You are such an incredible person, and I am so blessed to call you my best friend. I’ve loved being able to grow up with you, and now I cannot wait to see you grow old with Stephen. I love you whole heartedly, and I cannot wait to be standing beside you on your wedding day! YOU’RE GETTING MARRIED. EEK!
