The Perfect Engagement Session Location

When you are given a couple that finds a beautiful, off the road field, are willing to bare the freezing cold weather, miss watching a huge Redskins game, and make you feel like you are an old friend… You are one lucky, lucky wedding photographer! Mason and Laura’s engagement session on Sunday was SO cold. So cold that we decided to end their session early, but you would never guess that with the amount of images you are going to see in today’s post!

My Secret Marketing Tool Strikes Again

My fiance, again, is the reason for why I can call Laura and Mason one of my 2017 couples. For those of you that don’t know, MJ is a third grade teacher, so he works with woman all day every day! In college as well, he studied and had classes with mostly all women too (ladies man, I know), but this has now benefited me! MJ and Laura went to JMU together and had many classes together as well, so when she got engaged MJ immediately threw out my name, she emailed me, and now I am her wedding photographer! (I wish it was always that simple!)

Mason and Laura’s June wedding next year will be right after I get back from my honeymoon, so my first wedding as a married woman!! GAH, HOW CRAZY!!!??? Their wedding is going to be an absolute dream because these two are just the best! They are so easy to talk to and laugh with, and during their engagement session I felt like we had been friends for years. I loved hearing about their proposal, their jobs, and their wedding plans. I probably could have spent the entire afternoon with them, if it wasn’t so freakin’ cold!

These two absolutely adore one another, and are truly each other’s best friend. I loved watching them interact and laugh with one another about everything (mostly about how cold it was)! I don’t know how I get so lucky with my couples, but I am so honored to be their wedding photographer!
