Cherry blossom season in DC (Insert Pause)… It is stunning and insane and unpredictable and short. This year’s predicted peak bloom was supposed to be at the end of this week, and then it moved to March 18th to the 23rd. The exact time I was going to be in Texas. I could not believe it. What are the chances!? I explained my situation to Hannah and Jeff, and they were willing to wait until I got back. I was so worried, and every second I was like, “Please, cherry blossoms, wait for me. Just wait for me.”

YOU KNOW WHAT!? They did!! Like I don’t think we could have planned it more perfectly, everything was just beautiful! Even better, I had such an amazing couple to keep me company!

Every time I try to explain the craziness, that is cherry blossom season, I always mention that you need a whole lot of patience to do a session like this. I cannot explain how many people are there at the tidal basin before the sun even comes up, and once the sun comes up the wedding photographers then race to the best places! I have to admit we got some pretty amazing spots; we were like ninjas!

Hannah and Jeff just had such a positive attitude, and knew the cherry blossom atmosphere better than I did! I could have taken pictures with them all day. They got to a point where they were just reading my mind! Jeff and Hannah have such a fun love, and in every image you can just see how much Jeff loves and cares for Hannah.

Now that this is the longest post ever, Hannah and Jeff, thank you so much for asking me to do your engagement session! You two are such an amazing duo, and I am so happy that you two get to spend the rest of your lives together. Your wedding day is going to be absolutely beautiful and filled with so many laughs and love! I hope you love your blog post!
