An Old Town Alexandria Wedding

I fell in love with these two from the moment I met them at their engagement session!! It was kind of like a tease. I had the best time with them and then I didn’t get to see them for almost a year! It was so sweet to reunite with Matt and Cristi on their beautiful wedding day though! Between the details, the weather, and their bridal party, their day was nothing short of perfection.

As I’m typing this, I’m thinking back on the whole day, and I have to say that my favorite moments were between the speeches and their first dance. First off, Matt and Cristi’s first dance was amazing. They didn’t tell anyone what song they were going to dance to, and when it started to play, Matt and Cristi went into their own world away from everyone. It was like there own inside joke, and they laughed and sang the entire time- it was so much fun to watch! But my favorite part of their wedding day was the speeches. I don’t think I have ever laughed so hard at a wedding. Cristi’s Maid of Honor rapped, told so many amazing stories, and gave a speech that made everyone laugh, cry, and then laugh again. It was perfect, and I didn’t think the Best Man was going to be able to top it… WRONG. He was hilarious. I had to stop photographing at one point because of how much I was laughing.

The best part of both of their speeches though was looking over at Cristi and Matt. Their friends and family mean the absolute world to them, and those speeches really spoke truth to who they both are as individuals and as a couple.These two have waited so long for their big day and it was finally here! It is such an honor to not only call Matt and Cristi friends, but to be the one who captured one of the most special days of their life! What a gift! I love my job and I love this sweet couple!

Matt and Cristi, congratulations, again! You’re married! I could not be happier for the two of you, and cannot wait to see what this life has in store for the both of you!
