Lauren and Matt have known each other a LONG time! They first met at JMU when they lived across the hall from one another. Matt and his roommate decided to introduce themselves by asking the girls what they thought of their outfits… Matt took one look at Lauren and knew that this was someone special. They soon began to date and dating turned into an engagement and now they are MARRIED! And they through the most amazing Breaux Vineyards wedding to celebrate their love.
I walked into Lauren’s mom home which is located a minute walk from my home (I can literally see her house from my garage!), and instantly I could hear the buzz of the bridesmaids. They were in their matching robes with their hair and makeup done to perfection. I hugged Lauren and was so excited to see her! I just knew that it was going to be a good day! After getting ready at her mom’s, we left for Breaux Vineyards.
It was the most perfect September afternoon for a wedding, and there wasn’t any rain and so we were thankful!! Lauren and Matt shared their first look and then before we knew it, it was time for them to get married!! I loved so many things about their ceremony. I loved that the pastor told their love story in all of it’s glory, I loved that it was a ceremony that was tailored to them, and I loved watching Matt stare at Lauren throughout the whole ceremony.
Matt and Lauren have such a sweet relationship; they have a hand shake for goodness sake! How cute is that!? I loved capturing them with their best friends, but my favorite part of the day was taking portraits of just the two of them and allowing them to have a few minutes together, away from the crowds. Their wedding day was so beautiful and now they’re heading to some tropical islands for their honeymoon!!
Matt and Lauren love their families and it was VERY obvious that they love their friends. They were surrounded by their friends from college, childhood, cousins, etc. It’s such a special thing to have all of the people that you love in ONE place!! As I captured their day, I couldn’t help but think about how much of an honor it is to spend the day with them! I felt like a part of the family!!!
Enjoy some of my favorite moments and images that tell the story of their day!!!
xoxo
