I think it’s safe to say that every wedding photographer in the state of Virginia went to Target to buy at least one umbrella because when I got there, there were zero. I must add that I was only looking for the clear, adorable bubble umbrellas, but they were all gone. (Kohl’s for the win, btw.) Rain was on the radar for every part of Virginia since the beginning of the week, and it wasn’t the hit or miss kind of rain, it was the it’s going to rain 100% kind of rain. Only a miracle, I thought, would happen if we got any images outside. Not only did that miracle happen, but even the ceremony was held outside! WHAT!?
Crisan was the happiest bride though, rain or shine.
The moments before the ceremony, my brides and grooms are feeling so many emotions: excited, anxious, overwhelmed, and just SO happy. One of my favorite parts of a wedding day is when the bride and groom lock eyes, though, because all the stress, all the feelings, are gone. This happened just as Crisan and Hank saw each other for the first time. You could tell that both of them felt at ease, they both felt at home.
Their ceremony was filled with so many laughs, eager jumps, and happy tears. Hank and Crisan were ready for this moment, and I don’t think either of them could have been happier to officially be each others forever. Not only were they overabundantly happy, but so were their family and friends. At one point of the wedding, I looked out into the guests, specifically at each of their family members. Hank’s parents held one another as they watched their oldest son marry the woman of his dreams; Crisan’s parents teary eyed and proud of the daughter they raised; Olivia and Sev were so excited and filled with love for their brother and new sister; Bradley and Brian were in awe of Crisan and you could see that they were truly happy that she had found a man that loves her and deserves her.
As the night continued, laughter and smiles filled the room. It was indeed an incredible day, and one I will never forget being a part of. Crisan and Hank have the most genuine and caring hearts, and their love for one another is so true and sincere, you just know that these two are going to be with one another through thick and thin, through rain or shine. I cannot wait to see the many adventures that life brings them!
Hank and Crisan, I hope you love your blog post and enjoy reminiscing your wedding day. You two deserve the world, and though things have been more than difficult and hard the past few days, I am happy to know that the two of you have each other. I love you both!
Always remember the quote that Sev said during his Best Man Speech, “There are two kinds of rich in the world. Rich with love and rich with money and being rich with love is far more important. Love is everlasting.”
xoxo
