Mornin’ friends! This morning started with a 4:30 AM wake up call… Not the best way to start a Monday, but it was worth it to spend so much time with some of my best friends!

My birthday weekend was fun, relaxing, and the perfect combination of what I love most. This year I decided to photograph a wedding on my birthday. Most people would think I’m crazy and I kind of did too at some points, but it was worth it. Spending my birthday with a couple that I absolutely adore made my birthday so amazing! I also got free cupcakes! WIN! 😉

I also got to spend my birthday weekend with some of my best friends! If you are a Mash Up Monday alumni, you know that I visit Richmond often, but with busy season and life, I haven’t been able to do so. This weekend though, I got to visit my RVA college roomies, and they made sure my birthday weekend ended with a bang… AKA brunch, cupcakes, Halloween movies, and so many laughs!

As always, lessons learned/events that have transpired over the past week:

• 95 is the worst highway in the world. Maybe not the world, but definitely in Virginia. 64 coming in as a close second. I wish I loved driving in the car, but sadly that isn’t so!
• When you find “your people”, keep them close and never let them go. I am so lucky to have the friends that I have. Even if I’m the worst texter, they still love me… And that is saying a lot!
• Brie is still my favorite thing right now! AND I just started making Brie grilled cheese… My life has changed for the better.
• Where the heck did October go? Tomorrow is Halloween… WHAT!?
• I really need a hair cut. After being a model in two styled shoots, my hair is screaming, “HELP ME!” Too bad I am so stinkin’ picky and have to go to the same lady… 3 hours away. Looks like buns and braids for a little longer.

Tonight my field hockey team is going to the first round of regionals!! EEK! I cannot believe it! Wish us luck!
