So you’re probably like, “Hey Corrin, it’s Thursday!” Yeah, I know, but this series is going to be on Wednesday’s (hence the name haha) for now on. So we’re going to pretend today is Wednesday! But anyway, here we go…

Good morning, beautiful bride’s to be or anyone else who might be reading this blog post this morning! Welcome to my new series that is geared toward the newly engaged women out there!

Now that your boyfriend, now fiance, sealed the deal and put a sparkly new ring on your finger… YOU ARE GETTING MARRIED, and now it is time to start planning your dream wedding… But where do you start? What all do you need to plan to make sure everything is just right? How do I pay for everything? The questions will go on and on because this is probably your first time doing this whole marriage/wedding thing, and there is a lot more into planning a wedding than getting a dress and saying, “I do”. I’ve found that it’s a little stressful, but at the same time SO incredibly exciting! You are marrying the man of your dreams! GAH!

Being a recently engaged woman myself, I am slowly learning the behind the scenes of what makes a wedding amazing and functional and everything in between, and this blog series is going to list the steps and resources I am and have been using to hopefully be able to help other newly engaged women during this season of their lives. I’m also going to mix in some photography tips in their as well because, I mean, I can’t help it!

This new journey, this new adventure is going to be a fun one, and I hope this series can help you or someone you love along the way! We are going to build and plan amazing weddings together!! Let’s get started!!

HOW TO PLAN A WEDDING STEP ONE:

My first piece of advice for you, first and foremost, is to take a deep breath and love on your future hubby! Soak in this new time in your life with the one your going to spend the rest of your life with. Celebrate and enjoy yourselves, and then let the planning begin. It’s okay to lay back, stare at the shining new bling on your finger, and just enjoy the fact that you are going to be a future Mrs.. Decisions and planning don’t have to all happen at once, you have all the time you need. You’re day is going to be great because at the end of it all you are going to be with your best friend and love of your life. This last sentence will be repeated throughout this series because whenever I get overwhelmed with my planning MJ takes the computer away, cuddles me up, and tells me just that… At the end of it all, all I am going to remember is you and me. That right there is what it is all about!
