A few months ago I was asked by Shadow Creek to be a part of Visit Loudoun’s Wedding Tour. Meaning that they were one of the many venues a part of this awesome event, and that they wanted me to be one of the vendors inside their venue! Yeah… they asked me… That still shocks me. What an honor, truly. I, of course, said yes, but then slowly realized that I didn’t know one single thing about setting up a booth for a bridal show.

Pinterest became a very close friend of mine. This event also opened my eyes to things I needed to do for my business, like order sample albums… So I started getting my to-do list organized, texted Leah from Leah Letters every other day, bought way too many gold frames, and went from there. In the end, I was pretty proud of how it turned out!

It was finally Sunday, the day of the event. Goodness gracious, I was nervous. I am a perfectionist and over thinker to my core, so I wanted to do my very best. Once I saw what other booths were doing (installments and rentals and yummy food), that didn’t make me any less nervous. I decided to confidently show off what I had regardless of what everyone else was doing… because, honestly, that’s all I could do at that point! And then I went around introducing myself and offered to take pictures of their booths! (Perfect way to every vendors heart haha!)

I’m not going to lie, once the event started, the first 30 minutes were the worst for me. I didn’t know what to say, didn’t want to step on any toes, and was still very nervous. I even had a giveaway for brides to enter and not one person had entered yet…

Well, MJ sent a text (yay for wearing my Apple watch) that said, “You are amazing! This is your chance to brag!” This pushed me to be a little more extroverted and guess what, at the end of the day, I had so many people enter my giveaway! Yay!

The entire day was so much fun once I finally loosened up and stopped over thinking. I met amazing brides and grooms and incredible vendors! Definitely an experience I will never forget!

A huge shoutout to these people that helped along the way…

My sister, Kellie! I could not have done this without her. She answered my numerous amounts of calls and FaceTimes, gave me her honest opinion, and really was there for me from start to finish. Truly, I don’t know what I would have done without her help and advice!

Leah! Leah was also there helping me with random questions and thoughts! She also made my awesome new sign! She’s the best!

MJ! The guy that is always there for me. He helped me set up, take down, and listened to every thought that popped out of my mouth! He’s always my go-to guy and I’m so thankful for him!

Check out some of the vendors booths from the event! So incredible!

Shadow Creek’s New Hitched Bar

Shadow Creek was one of the many venues to be a part of the wedding tour. Not only did they showcase there amazing and beautiful venue, but they also announced their new addition… The Hitched Bar! This new mobile bar is now available for brides and grooms to rent for their wedding day! (And venues can rent this bar as well, so cool!)

If only you saw the before picture, they worked hard on this new, fun bar trailer and it was such a huge hit on Sunday! Check out the pictures!

Event Studio

Kelley Truxel from Event Studio designed this amazing booth! Kelley is both a florist and an event coordinator, and, man, she is good at what she does! Not only is she greatly talented, but she has the kindest heart and really loves what she does. She designed the table layout and flowers for the inside and then also decorated the outside ceremony space!

This allowed brides and grooms to truly envision what Shadow Creek could look like on a wedding day!

Signature Sweets by Amanda

Amanda’s booth was one of my “neighbor” boothes, and boy was I in trouble right from the start! With donuts, cooks, and every other sweet you could imagine, Amanda’s booth was definitely a fan favorite. (Food, duh.)

She is so truly talented at what she does, and with her and her team any bride would be lucky to have her as a part of their wedding day!

Leah Letters

Okay, so I love Leah, and I am so luck to call her a friend! Leah is crazy talented, an incredibly kind hearted human, and has the best sarcastic personality. Over the past couple of weeks, Leah has helped me prepare for this event and I cannot thank her enough for that! She really is such a gem and then you look at her work… Holy Moly. It’s amazing!

I’m so grateful for her friendship!

Check out her amazing work below!

Laura Dee Events

Laura and her team worked their butts off on their booth and it showed! With different installments and so many different details, you know that this woman means business! Sadly, I wasn’t able to take as many pictures of her booth because of all the love they put into their booth, but these few images give you an idea of just how talented Laura is!

Purple Onion

My other “neighbor” booth! Paige from Purple Onion Catering Company had an amazing set up! (Yes, I was in between two food booth’s… It was a great day!) Not only is their food amazing, but Paige… oh my goodness, she is awesome. Her personality and energy would convince me to hire her in a second, even if I didn’t eat the food!

Curious Fox Press

Cathleen of Curious Fox Press is so incredibly talented. I could have looked at her amazing pieces all day long! She has an eye for detail and a passion that drives her business to be what it is today! If I could redo my wedding stationary, I would hire her in a heart beat. Check out their awesome work!

Brower Forge

Rob’s booth was all his handmade metal work. He can pretty much make anything from what it sounds like, and I believe it. Just looking at a few of his pieces, you can tell that he has an eye for intricate detail with every piece he makes. One of my favorite pieces are his metal boutonnieres. They are a unique and hassle free way for the groom to look extra dapper on his wedding day! (Check out the handsome model… AKA my husband, MJ!)

Also, those knives would make amazing groomsmen gifts! Take a look!

Rick’s Flowers

Holy Cow. Rick from Rick’s Flowers rocked it. His booth was absolutely stunning, and it is obvious how good he is at what he does! No doubt about it! From his hanging installments to the bouquets to the floral garland table scape, it definitely stopped people in their tracks.

He was not a newbie to the whole bridal tour world! So good!

Rick is also so kind and very passionate about what he does, and it was such an honor to meet such an incredible and talented vendor!
