Good morning, friends, and Happy Day After Labor Day (says no one)! I know, if you are anything like me, you wish Labor Day was at least a two day event. I mean, we labor a lot, why not just give us two days, right? Right. Whether you are starting your first day back to school or teachers starting their first day with kids or just sitting at work because you do work all year round, we all got this, just make sure that the extra cup coffee is ready to go! On a positive note, just think only 4 more days until the weekend, and this weekend there won’t be a tropical depression intruding on any plans. Hermine.

Yeah, so Hermine. (Yes, I did call this tropical thing Hermione from Harry Potter until someone mentioned it was a he…) Hermine lucky didn’t affect the entire state of VA, but for Poquoson and Norfolk, Virginia, they didn’t get as much luck. Flooding, rain, and whole bunch of wind, and for the weddings in this area, they were either cancelled or moved entirely inside, and that’s exactly what happened for Robert and Danielle’s Rose Garden Wedding.

These two welcomed Hermine with open arms and their wedding day has become a day I will never forget! More on that later this week!!

As always, lessons learned/events that transpired over the last week!

• I, CORRIN AUBREY JASINSKI, PAYED OFF A LOAN. I haven’t thought about this too much because it kinda just happened, but this is pretty big. Yes, I still have one loan left to go, but I don’t have two anymore!!
• There can’t be a Mash Up without me talking about food, so PF Changs. MJ has had two gift cards to this place for years now, and we finally went to get dinner. I’m not a big Chinese food eater, not my first choice, but this was pretty good. We probably won’t be going back, but I definitely liked it!
• My field hockey girls scored their first GOAL! Field hockey is brand new to this area, and so 75% of the girls on my team are brand new to the sport. This goal was a big deal for us, and I am SO proud of them!
• We had our first Whole Foods experience the other day!! I’m pretty impressed. It definitely doesn’t beat Wegmans, but it’s cool!
• Rain Boots. I need them. If anyone has any good recommendations for rain boots, please hit me up!
