Every year, when the holidays hit, my days start blending together. I almost forgot that today was Monday! The shopping to-do list is getting shorter and shorter- thanks Amazon, and the business to-do list? Well, I have one more engagement session before the new year, my “Best of 2017” posts, and some inquiry emails, but other then that, I’m almost done for 2017! WHOOP WHOOP!

Speaking of shopping to-do lists, this year more than others, I am super excited for everyone to open their gifts! I have to say that’s one of my favorite parts of Christmas- giving. I love giving other people gifts and seeing their faces light up!

Christmas, in so many ways, has changed over the years, but I love that it has changed into a holiday where quality time, giving, and being thankful (and eating a ton of food) has become all I need to feel the holiday spirit! It’s my favorite.

Proposal season is coming… SO, I thought this would make for the perfect picture for today’s post!

As always, lessons learned/events that have transpired over the past week:

• MJ bought a GAME CUBE! Yeah, do you remember those things? My sisters and I loved playing that growing up, and I am now overly excited to have one again!
• Some of my best friends and I had a Christmas cookie/game night, and it was one of the best ways to celebrate the holiday season! I am so thankful for them!
• We celebrated Lily’s first Christmas by taking her to Petsmart to see Santa! She was pretty excited… Well, she’s excited about everything, but we think it was especially because of Santa.
• Last week of school for MJ, and that deserves a celebration! The weeks leading up to holiday break for teachers is the hardest. They deserve a medal!
• My first “fancy” Christmas party happened this past week and we had so much fun! (Two dresses ended up coming in on time… Don’t get me started on that!)
