I was doing my daily scroll through Facebook, and the first thing that popped into my feed was Katlyn and Eric’s engagement post! I literally stopped what I was doing and squealed to MJ. I yelled that Katlyn got engaged, and before he could even ask who Katlyn was, I was already talking about how I must be Katlyn and Eric’s wedding photographer. Soon after their engagement, Katlyn contacted me, booked her wedding date with me, and now I am showing you all some of her engagement photos!! And, oh my goodness, these images have easily become some of my favorites that I have ever taken. Seriously, this hometown fall engagement session is one for the books!
When Katlyn told me that she wanted her engagement session to be in Red Oak, Virginia, I was so excited because I knew this city was very special to both Katlyn and Eric. This small town has held and will forever hold so many memories for Eric and Katlyn. Red Oak is where Eric and Katlyn met 6 years ago, where they will be having their wedding, and where they will be building their home in a few years to build their own family. Family has always been such a huge part of Katlyn’s life and being able to have all these memories where she grew up I know means the world to her.
Katlyn is one of my sorority sisters and one of my favorite people! You cannot help but love her the very moment you meet her; she is so genuine and kind and has a heart of gold! Katlyn is just the best, and Eric is her perfect pair. They make each other smile in a moments notice; you can instantly tell that they are each others best friend. The best part about these two is the fact that with each look you know that both of them think they are the luckiest person on this planet because they have one another.
After 6 years together, you can say that so many people were waiting for this time to come. The time where this beautiful and kind hearted couple will finally become one. I am so blessed and honored to be a part of this time of their lives and to be able to photograph their wedding day. Their September wedding next year is going to be a southern dream!
I hope you all enjoy a few (and by few I mean a lot) of my favorites!
xoxo
