My friend and second shooter, Heather, just asked me the other day, do you know everyone you photograph? And in some way or another I feel like I do because all of my bride and groom’s are either friends of mine or friends of friends or something like that. I may not know them personally, but we typically have a mutual friend that has brought us together. In Michael and Lauren’s case, they are friends of Jeff and Hannah (these two were my cherry blossom engagement). I love the random links that bring couple’s to me, and I absolutely loved spending my morning photographing Michael and Lauren’s classic Georgetown engagement session!

Michael and Lauren just might be the sweetest couple ever. Their joy and love for one another made me want to photograph them all morning. These two met each other on a semi blind date, and by “semi” I mean Lauren had stalked him on Facebook and Michael had no idea what he was getting himself into. After that date, it lead to another date and another date and they have been inseparable ever since. Now, Michael and Lauren are planning their dream destination wedding! (Lauren mentioned that her dress looks like Kate Middleton’s wedding gown… HEART EYES!)

Once we finally found each other at Friends at Waterfront Park in Georgetown (because I am terrible with parking and directions in Washington, DC), we got the ball rolling and began shooting in the stunning golden light. After the first click of my camera, I knew it was going to be an amazing morning. Michael makes Lauren smile in a moments notice and vice versa, so don’t mind all of the adorable, super cute photos down below. 😉
