The older you get, the harder it is to make friends. It just is. I’ve gotten to the point where I feel like I’m back in kindergarten, and I’m like,”Do you want to be my friend?” So far that has worked pretty well for me, well it worked with Amber at least, and this is how our friendship began.

We met at Brandon and Colleen’s wedding back in August. (Remember their awesome DC engagement session!) Well we were assigned to the same table, kind of like a blind date. MJ and I started to talk about how we knew Brandon and Colleen and how we do trivia at the Greene Turtle every Thursday! Amber then said, “Do you mind if we join you guys next time? I need friends.” I then said, “Hey, I need friends! Of course!” We’ve gotten to know them the past few months (and absolutely love them), and a week after my engagement Dan and Amber got engaged!! (Insert heart eyes everywhere!) Amber then asked me to take her engagement photos! (Even more heart eyes!!)

The four of us, Dan, Amber, Rosie (Amber’s cousin), and myself, went to down town Leesburg, Virginia and then to a the Red Rock Overlook. I absolutely loved our time together; we did not stop laughing! I am so happy for these friends of mine! They are such an incredible pair, and I can’t wait to see what life has in store for them!
